International Multicultural Festival

Riverstown Enterprise Development (Sligo) Ltd hosted an International Multi Cultural Festival celebrating Emigration and Migration at Sligo Folk Park, Riverstown on 14th & 15 July, 2007.

The aim of the festival was to develop our understanding of other cultures and affirm the positive benefits of living together. As Peter Sutherland, Special Representative for Migration to the UN Secretary said "Migration is the mother of progress and invention. Our world today is shaped by the industry of immigrants."
